Vmware on mac blank screen update#
Ive noticed when running XP as the guest OS it will sometimes hang with a black screen when I resume it (I think it happens when an automatic update for XP has occurred). The main host system is running Kubuntu 16.04.1 and the latest NoMachine 5.1.44. I run VMware fusion on my Mac to develop and test Windows applications. No amount of resizing or futzing with VMWare Workstation gets them working again. It happens as soon as I connect with NoMachine. If I shut down the VM’s and restart them afterwards (even without rebooting) they are back to normal. If I never connect to this system with NoMachine, this problem doesn’t occur. The one exception is a non-accelerated VM that is running in text-only mode. a matter of following the on-screen steps to work through the Assistant. Im having this issue with VMware Fusion recently when I try to start.

Twice now, after having made this change, I have connected to my server to check on some VM’s only to find that they aren’t rendering at all locally. Procedure To exit Full Screen to Single Window view, in the Full Screen title bar, select View > Single Window, or use the keyboard shortcut +Control+F. So as per (A black screen is displayed when running virtual desktops on Unity 3D or GNOME 3 and proprietary drivers) I configured the file and pointed it to mesa as I have been using the proprietary Nvidia driver. To display guest application windows directly on your Mac desktop without seeing the virtual machine's desktop, exit to Unity view.
